Gareth's hospitality experience extends across Europe, North America and the South Pacific.   From bespoke Michelin-starred fine dining to large capacity catering event execution Gareth has developed a wealth of practical operational experience supported through exhaustive endorsed training. 

Gareth’s love of the industry was birthed behind the bar.  As a talented mixologist he worked the South Beach scene in Florida for three years before his palette focus shifted to wine, his enthusiasm and talent recognised as a finalist for Hot Sommeliers 2007 & 2008.   As his career developed, his natural leadership aptitude, creativity and lateral foresight saw him successfully explore numerous senior management positions within event venues, restaurants and hotels.

He recently championed the opening of RACV’s Cape Schanck food & beverage offering, including the hatted new restaurant of the year finalist 2018, Cape. Gareth’s expertise extends past operations into, concept development, strategy, financial acumen, WHS and compliance.

Gareth launched Patron Priority in 2021 with the ongoing support and assistance of numerous industry icons.  With the purpose to support hospitality businesses – current and aspiring, as they navigate the challenging competitive industry landscape.

Outside of hospitality, Gareth is a hobby writer, student and mentor – and a proud father of two young children. He currently resides in the Mornington Peninsula with his loving partner, and children.  Spending his weekends playing chauffer to weekends sports or exploring the culinary scene throughout the Peninsula.
